2026 YOUTH THEME WALK
The Walk is now open. It will close on September 19.
The Walk.
The Walk provides inspirational audio and video messages about our relationship with the Savior. It takes place over a 1.5 mile long trail in the Wasatch Back mountains east of Heber City, Utah. It is a night-time experience. It will take about 90 minutes to complete.
Each participant receives a set of headphones as they begin the Walk. Participants walk on a well-maintained path in beautiful mountain terrain. Be advised that the trail is not flat. Expect inclines and descents.
Please wear shoes appropriate for walking/hiking in the mountains. Please dress appropriately for a high-altitude climate and weather conditions. We recommend the Walk for persons 8 and older.
Making a Request for Reservations.
As you make a request for a reservation, consider the following:
The Walk is closed on Sundays.
From May 27 through August 7, the youth who are camping at Heber Valley Camp will occupy most of the available spaces for the Walk.
Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays will have limited availability.
Thursdays and Fridays will generally have no availability.
Saturdays are the best days for the general public to come to the Walk.
After August 7, all spaces for the Walk will be available to the general public
You may provide up to three choices of days. IMPORTANT: Before you make your request, please review the Spaces Available information shown on the calendars in the right column or below if viewing on a cell phone.
After we receive your request, we will evaluate availability for your requested dates and determine a date and start time. Start times are 8:30 to 9:00, 9:00 to 9:30, and 9:30 to 10:00. You will receive an email from Heber Valley Camp that either confirms your requested reservation or asks for additional information. If your reservation is confirmed, you will receive a “ticket” with a confirmed date and designated start time along with other pertinent information. We will respond to your request in 1 or 2 business days.
The Walk costs $3.00 per person. To finalize and secure your reservation, please send payment to Heber Valley Camp as instructed on your ticket.
Persons who have serious challenges with walking can, upon request, be transported via a side-by-side vehicle for $20.00 per person. As you make your request for a reservation, you can indicate if there are persons in your group who have mobility challenges and who will need motorized transportation. Those riding in Camp transports must be at the Walk parking lot by 8:00 pm and ready to depart from there at 8:15 pm. The rest of the your party will follow at 8:30. Riders who are late will have to wait until the last walking guests have started the Walk because we can’t intermingle vehicles and walkers for safety reasons. This could be as late as 10:00 pm.
We will only cancel the Walk in the event of severe weather. We will attempt to notify guests in this case. Otherwise, the Walk will be open even in rainy or windy or cold conditions.
Payment instructions will be provided when you receive a confirmation. At this time we can only accept payment by check. We apologize for the inconvenience but Church administrators are not allowing us to receive payments by any other method.
